Spokesperson For Young Americans for Liberty, Utah Has Submitted a General Outline of Philosophy Behind The October 11th Anti-Mandate University Protests
In order to better understand the motives behind the National Anti-Mandate Protests, Tyson Reese from Young Americans for Liberty, Utah has requested a statement to be published.
That statement will read below.
The right to individual choice and free agency is the most important principle of our existence. Everything is built around it. Unfortunately, that freedom of choice has been taken away from us in many aspects.
We are now seeing a new, disturbing challenge to this freedom of choice. Universities across the nation are implementing vaccine mandates, for the COVID-19 vaccine. Despite the scientific issues with this vaccine, this isn’t about this particular vaccine, nor the politics that surround it. This is a fight we can not and will not back off of, this is a fight for the principle of individual agency. That’s what we are here for.
Students across the nation will protest vaccine mandates at their university, on Monday, October 11th. The mobilization of students in this fight has many aspects. We will be working through organizations such as Young Americans for Liberty, Students for Liberty, Voices against Tyranny, and much more soon to come; in order to mobilize students down to the grassroots level. We are calling on leaders to help lead the charge in this fight for individual agency. The leg power of this movement will come from the grassroots, the students themselves.
Each leader on campus is suggested to do the following in order to make this event the shining star of Liberty for the next generation it needs to be: promote the event to your peers, meet and organize with likeminded individuals you may know, organize a plan to spread this word out to the people at your university, start a petition, gather contact information, encourage like minded students you’ll meet by asking for signatures to participate, and represent your organization(s).
We are currently working to gather resources to get merchandise out to these leaders, and by selling merchandise, we are able to raise funds for shirts, flags, and bracelets for local leaders to give out to boost morale for this upcoming event. At the moment, we are looking for people to assist us with this funding, people to promote the cause, and people to assist us in networking, so we can identify and assist local leaders in growing this event.
We have organizations and influencers on board. The more people we reach, the better. The more resources we can gather, the better. The bigger the show out, the better the outcome. This is the time for Liberty activists to step up and show we will not be taken for granted. It’s time to show what Liberty can do. We will not allow these mandates to spoil the upcoming youth. We will not allow our free spirits to succumb to authoritarianism.
